Just a month after the inauguration of the much-touted Coastal Road connecting Marine Drive to Bandra, the Breach Candy residents are complaining about traffic congestion due to the incoming flow towards the interchange at Bhulabhai Desai Road. The locals have also alleged that the reclamation along the Coastal Road is not eco-friendly but a waste of public money worth several crores. Even before the 10.5km stretch came up, the posh locality witnessed high traffic due to well-known temples and hospitals in the area. The problem has now been exacerbated due to a rise in the number of cars coming from the Coastal Road.
