Cong will reverse temple verdict: PM

The Congress will reverse the Supreme Court verdict on Ram temple if voted to power, as part of its appeasement politics, just like the government of then Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi had overturned the 1985 landmark ruling in the Shah Bano case, Prime Minister Narendra Modi claimed at a rally in Beed on Tuesday.

"Shehzada" (PM's moniker for Rahul Gandhi) called a meeting of select people after the 2019 verdict in the Ram temple case and said, if his party returns to power, the apex court decision will be overturned, as his father had done in the Shah Bano case, a senior Congress leader who quit the party recently has revealed," Modi said.
