Opposition Congress legislator Zeeshan Siddique and NCP MLA Nawab Malik joined Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar's Jan Samvad Yatra in Mumbai on Monday.
Siddique, the MLA from Bandra (East), joined the yatra as it passed through his constituency. The legislator is under scrutiny for allegedly cross-voting in the recent legislative council election, and his father, former MLA Baba Siddique, has already joined the NCP (Ajit Pawar).
One of the four Congress MLAs elected in 2019, Siddique was also the Mumbai Youth Congress chief before being removed from the position. Speculation is rife that Siddique will follow his father into the NCP.
