Speaking at a consultation meeting on the city's expansion, including the formation of the Greater Mysuru City Corporation, held at the Zilla Panchayat meeting hall, he emphasised the need for planned and comprehensive growth as Mysuru's population, both in the city and surrounding areas, has tripled over the last few decades.

He mentioned that more than 28 representatives from various organisations had shared their suggestions during the meeting. He also encouraged other citizens who could not attend to submit their recommendations in writing to the district administration.
