From Candidate, Now Biden In Surrogate Mode For Harris

Backed by her boss President Joe Biden, Democratic Party presidential candidate Kamala Harris put her campaign on a fast-forward mode holding a series of Labour Day-themed events in 'blue wall' states of Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania on Monday, marking the unofficial launch of the fall campaign sprint in the states that will determine the November election.

The high-profile meetings have given a new momentum to her campaign even as she sought to expand her footprints in where she is competitive. Sources said the Labour Day rallies point to the importance of winning those three "blue wall" states that propelled Biden to victory in 2020.

Joining Harris' political sprint was Biden for a rally in Pittsburgh the President's first joint campaign appearance with the Vice-President since ending his reelection bid and endorsing her. Amidst cheers, he said, "I'll be on the sidelines, but I'll do everything I can to help. Are you ready to make Donald Trump a loser again?" With Biden entering the campaign trail this week, the Democratic Party has entered into a new political phase as he closes out his time in the White House and works to ensure Harris succeeds him.
