Hands off, Revanna tells SIT in custody

After alighting from the flight, he was standing in a queue at the immigration counter when officials asked him to step out. Immediately his passport and mobile phone were impounded. His baggage was checked and he was not allowed to contact his advocate.

When Central Industrial Security Force personnel tried to hold him, Prajwal asked them not to do so and that he along. Wearing a grey tracksuit with a matching pullover and sneakers and sporting a trimmed beard, he insisted on walking in the middle of a security cordon.

After completing formalities, he was handed over to the SIT. Three SIT officers, including a deputy superintendent of police, an inspector and a sub-inspector, took him into custody.

Prajwal was made to sit in a police vehicle in the middle with women officers on each side and taken straight to the Crime Investigation Department (CID) near Vidhana Soudha around 2.10 am.
