Memon, a Sports Ground consultant, a sports administrator and football lover who has been associated with Mumbai football from decades is sponsoring the Harwood Champions league with new vigour.
Memon wants to use his resources to rekindle memories of sports fans and creating opportunities for the next generation of footballers to thrive. Eight teams are participating in the tournament played under floodlights at Cooperage ground.
The tournament hosted by Mumbai Football Association started on September 21 and will conclude on October 5. Eight teams divided into two groups are active.
