'Local body polls to be held in next three to four months after conducting BC census

Addressing the Congress activists at Gandhi Bhavan here on Sunday, where Mahesh Kumar Goud assumed charge as the president of Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC), the Chief Minister said the Congress leaders have more responsibility to win the elections for workers and they are ready to work harder for the victory of party's candidates.

He congratulated Mahesh Goud on assuming the role of TPCC president, calling it a moment of pride for all.

Reflecting on the journey of the Congress in Telangana, Revanth Reddy recalled how Sonia Gandhi fulfilled her promise of statehood for Telangana, despite various challenges.

"On June 27, 2021, I was appointed TPCC President and on July 7, 2021, I took charge, striving to coordinate everyone and move forward," he remarked.

Revanth Reddy credited the Congress with revitalising the State, particularly citing the historic rally at Indravelli as a turning point that brought the Congress back to power.
