The polls will be held in this phase at Buldhana, Akola, Amravati, Wardha, YavatmalWashim, Hingoli, Nanded and Parbhani.
Two well-known faces of the BJP in the fray are Navnit Kaur Rana from Amravati and Prataprao Chikhlikar from Nanded.
All eyes are on Amravati, which will witness the electoral face-off Navneet and between Balwant Wankhede. Rana was a former independent MP who won the election during the Modi wave with support from NCP chief Sharad Pawar. Later, she defected to the BJP and started agitating against the MVA, especially against Uddhav Thacekray.
