Using a washing machine as a prop, the Congress on Saturday put the Bharatiya Janata Party in the dock over dropping of charges against the former Nationalist Congress Party leader Praful Patel, the former Nationalist Congress Party leader, who has now joined the NCP (Ajit Pawar faction), an ally of the BJP.
Its media and publicity chairman in the party's communication department Pawan Khera gave a live demonstration of, what he called, "Modi washing powder" and "Modi washing machine", drawing parallels with the BJP that every "tainted" leaders' taint gets washed away once he gets into this "washing machine" (the BJP). This is now automatic washing machine, he remarked.
The machine, kept on the table by his side, was labled "BJP washing machine' and the props were T-shirts. A "dirty T-shirt" with "corruption, fraud, scam" written on it went into the machine and a clean T-shirt with "BJP Modi wash" written on it came out of it.
