Senior JD(U) leader and Union minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh aka Lalan Singh's remark that Muslims were not voting for his party has sparked a political row as RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav accused him of spreading hatred as his party was presently an ally of BJP.

While addressing JD(U) workers in Muzaffarpur, Singh, also the party's former national president, contended that Muslims never voted for JD(U) even when the Nitish Kumar govt launched various development projects for them.
