The Samajwadi Party (SP) on Saturday announced it is leaving the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) over a post on 'X' by Shiv Sena MLC Milind Narvekar hailing the demolition of the Babri Masjid. The party state unit chief Abu Asim Azmi said he had taken the decision and conveyed it to the party chief, Akhilesh Singh Yadav. The party has two MLAs - Rais Shaikh and Azmi. Both MLAs vented their dissatisfaction on the social media platform "X".
They were reacting to Narvekar's post which carried along with it a picture of Kar Sevaks atop the Babri Masjid and a picture of the late Balasaheb Thackeray as well, along with those of Uddhav Thackeray, his son Aaditya and Narvekar himself.
