28 Naxals killed in Dantewada
Over 28 Naxals have been killed in an encounter between security forces and armed members of the banned outfit CPI (Maoist) along the border of Dantewada and Narayanpur districts. Unsubstantiated reports peg the casualties at 36. The police have also recovered a substantial cache of arms and ammunition -- including AK-47s and SLRs -- from the encounter site.
