Union Home Minister Amit Shah while campaigning in West Bengal on Tuesday said Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee skipped the Ram Mandir consecration event as she didn't want to lose the votes of 'infiltrators'.

"In the last 70 years, the Congress, Left Front and TMC didn't do anything for the Ram Mandir. You have given the BJP 18 seats in the 2019 Lok Sabha election and the landmark court judgment regarding Ram Mandir came in our favour and Narendra Modi not only conducted the 'bhumi puja' but also ensured that the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya was built. Mamata Banerjee and her bhatija (nephew) were also invited but they didn't attend," said Shah.

Taking further potshots at the TMC, Shah added that 'infiltrators' are the biggest 'vote bank' of the TMC.

Shah also questioned people whether they want 'dynasty' politics or 'Ram Rajya'.
