State govt buses to run on Uber pattern

STRENGTHENING PUBLIC TRANSPORT: Operators will be selected through tenders on the basis of bus routes, and the companies will issue permits

The MP government will run buses on the pattern of Uber through PPP mode without buying new buses.

A state-level holding company will be set up with the Chief Minister as its chairman.

These issues came up at a meeting that Chief Minister Mohan Yadav held with the officials on Wednesday to restart state bus services.

Seven regional companies will be set up under the holding company. Transport committees will also be formed under the companies to be established in seven divisions.
