Akhilesh seeks probe into government contracting Gujarat company accused of paper leaks for police recruitment exam
Biswajeet Banerjee

Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav has raised serious concerns about the Uttar Pradesh government’s decision to award the contract for conducting police recruitment exam to a Gujarat-based company, which has been accused of leaking exam papers.

The state government has filed an FIR against the company and blacklisted it following the scandal. In a series of posts on X on Friday, Yadav criticised the BJP, saying, “This is the identity of ‘BJP’: work for liars and salute to liars.”

He called for the government to publicly release the FIR filed against the Gujarati firm involved in the police recruitment scam and questioned the integrity of the exam process. Yadav highlighted the gravity of the allegations, noting that the Gujarat company allegedly leaked the exam papers and its owner fled abroad before the UP government acted. He accused the state government of blacklisting the company only to deflect public outrage.
