Yathindra defends CM's instructions to Muda to develop funds in Varuna, Srirangapatna
The Free Press Journal|September 22, 2024
Refuting allegations that the Chief Minister misused Muda funds for his constituency's development, Congress MLC and CM's son Yathindra Siddaramaiah defended his father on Saturday.

He stated that the CM's request for Muda to allocate money for the development of Varuna and Srirangapatna assembly segments was justified.

Speaking to reporters about Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot's request for a report from the state government regarding a complaint that the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (Muda) had undertaken works amounting to ₹387 crore in violation of rules in these constituencies—allegedly based on oral instructions from CM Siddaramaiah—Yathindra asserted that there is nothing wrong with using Muda funds for the development of areas under its jurisdiction in Varuna and Srirangapatna.
