Appeal for more help to stock up Ukraine convoy

A PLEA has been made for help for a fresh convoy of aid heading to Ukraine this month, which is being led by a businessman who is making his eighth trip to the war-torn country.

A generator and medicines are specifically sought for the convoy, which will include several caravans that will be donated and left behind.

Christmas boxes are also being collected for children affected by the conflict, and anyone who wishes to create one for a child is being welcomed to leave them at one of the drop-off points established as part of the ongoing aid effort.

It is being co-ordinated by Andreas Evangelou, who has already been on seven trips, donated five vehicles and seven caravans. He is accompanied again by Kharkiv native Maksym Litvinov, who is now living in Plymouth after his home, business and cars were destroyed by Russian artillery.

Mr Litvinov has arranged for aid to be delivered to a humanitarian centre in Kharkiv, among the worst affected provinces as it is close to Russia.
