Appeal to help the homeless

THIS Christmas, over 2,000 people in Devon will be without a home and Plymouth is most affected.

A yearly report from Shelter, the national housing charity, has disclosed that at least 2,300 people across the county, including more than 900 children, will spend the festive season homeless.

The figure includes 2,100 individuals living in temporary accommodation, predominantly families with children, nearly 150 rough sleepers on any given night, and other forms of homelessness.
