PLYMOUTH'S new Lord Mayor says the role will be her chance to say thank you to the city.
Cllr Tina Tuohy said it was an "honour" to be appointed, while Cllr Pauline Murphy will be Deputy Lord Mayor for the coming year. They were both officially elected at the annual general meeting of Plymouth City Council last Friday.
Cllr Tuohy currently serves as a Ham ward councillor and was first elected to the ward in 2009. She is also vice-chair of the council's planning committee.
