AN award-winning Plymouth restaurant has closed after trading for just four years. The Sri Lankan curry house The Cinnamon Garden, at Bretonside, shut after its landlord evicted it and the business' owners now plan to open a takeaway.
The premises, and a flat upstairs, have been vacated and emptied after they were repossessed. It is not yet known what the landlord intends to do with the property and whether it will remain a restaurant.
A statement on The Cinnamon Garden's Facebook page said: "We regret to inform you that Cinnamon Garden is now permanently closed.
We are opening a takeaway-only service in PL1 around mid-July.
