Plymouth poet Kenny Knight is organising no fewer than four events under the umbrella of open mic organisation Cross Country Writers, and there are other events at Leadworks, the Plymouth Proprietary Library, Boston Tea Party, the Central Library, Plymstock Library, Ivybridge Library and Saltash Library.
Kenny has open mic events at Thorn Park Lodge, on October 5, and at Leadworks, in Rendle Street, on October 11, both from 7pm, and both open to all.
Leadworks is also the venue for a special event on October 11, from 7.30pm, to launch the literary journal Clutter, which includes work from many Plymouth writers and poets.
The event, which is an open mic affair and open to all, will also raise funds for the Community Kitchen for All appeal run by Leadworks Projects CIC, so it can provide space for free and low-cost cookery classes. Donations are welcome at the event.
In addition four of the writers included in Clutter Babs Horton, Danny Strike, Ed Tapper and, of course, Kenny - will be reading at Plymstock Library on October 24 from 2pm to 3.30pm.
