A PLYMOUTH fashion business which worked with top clothing brands and helped develop city designers has gone bust after struggling to make ends meet. Makers HQ CIC was set up in 2018 in the Union Street building that once housed the famous Jaeger clothing factory.
But despite gaining a strong reputation, and even support from Plymouth City Council and retail giant M&S, it has gone into liquidation with debts of £90,000. The social enterprise, a joint venture between the Millfields Community Economic Development Trust and Arts University Plymouth, will be wound up voluntarily.
