PLYMOUTHBAKED bagels which are already being praised as far away as New York will soon be on sale at the city’s railway station – from a tuk-tuk.
The Hutong Bagel Company is preparing to start selling its hand-rolled, artisan bagels to hungry travellers on September 6.
The company’s ringed bread rolls have already proved a hit at its café and takeaway near the entrance to the city’s Royal William Yard. Now it will be bringing “world-class” street food and beverages to the railway station.
It will be selling the treats, invented by the Jewish community and synonymous with New York City, from a mobile tuk-tuk. The compact three-wheeled vehicle will be placed at a patch outside the main concourse and surrounded by plants.
