A PLYMOUTH secondary school has become the latest to ban the use of toilets for students during lesson time except for in certain circumstances in a crackdown on ‘truancy’.
Sir John Hunt Community Sports College, in Whitleigh, is the latest school to enforce the rules.
It comes after a ‘handful’ of students staged a protest at the end of February, with one parent claiming children ‘wanted better toilet privileges for girls’.
However, Sir John Hunt Community Sports College said at the time the protest appeared to have been sparked by ‘social media coverage’ showing students in other parts of the country protesting.
