Council in row over parking permits for staff

RESIDENTS and businesses in West Hoe say it is becoming increasingly difficult to find a parking space and blame Plymouth City Council staff for clogging up the area with their cars.

Residents say that possibly as many as 100 staff have been moved to Ballard House and given permits allowing them to park in residents' zones and pay-and-display spaces.

Businesses say the influx of relocated council workers, following the closure of Midland House in the city centre, is affecting trade. One person even blames the parking issue for causing her to close and sell her business.
