PLYMOUTH City Council is offloading three huge buildings which are surplus to to requirements. The authority is to auction off Midland House in the city centre, and the former register office on the Hoe, and is also in talks about leasing Derriford's Windsor House.
It is not known if the sales are to raise cash for the £29,892,665 Armada Way redevelopment but last month the authority said it would be looking to sell £12,750,000 of assets and use £8,716,449 of that towards the ambitious upgrade. It said an unnamed third party was keen on taking over Windsor House office block, which the authority paid £18.25m plus VAT for in 2006.
