The 19-year-old has started the last three Championship games for the Pilgrims since joining on loan from Leeds United until the end of the season, and for the last two of them he has been alongside Forshaw in central midfield. Forshaw, 32, signed for Argyle on a permanent deal from Norwich City eight days after Gyabi arrived at Home Park, but they already knew each other before then.
When Gyabi completed a £5 million transfer from Manchester City to Leeds in July 2022 he received a friendly welcome from Forshaw, who spent the following season with him at Elland Road before leaving for Norwich City last summer.
Gyabi said: "I knew Ads before I got here. When I first went to Leeds he was one of the players who helped me, to be fair.
"He showed me around, on the pitch gave me some advice and to be playing with him again I wasn't expecting it but I think it's good it has happened.
