STRIKER Ben Waine appreciates why his game-time for Plymouth Argyle has been so limited lately because of the superb form of Ryan Hardie.
Waine did get a chance to start the Championship clash against promotion-chasing Leeds United at Home Park, when Hardie was given a break by head coach Ian Foster after he had been picked for the previous nine matches - six in the league and three in the FA Cup - and scored five goals.
The New Zealand international came close to getting an Argyle equaliser early in the second half on Saturday when he was inches away from finishing off a cross from Mickel Miller. “I did feel it skim my foot,” said Waine after the eventual 2-0 defeat by Leeds.
