IAN Foster has spent his first week at Plymouth Argyle making sure his players have a clear understanding of the tactics and principles for the away Championship clash against Huddersfield Town tomorrow.
Foster was appointed last Friday night and watched from the touchline when the Pilgrims beat Sutton United 3-1 in the FA Cup third round at Home Park the following afternoon. However, it has been from Monday onwards that the former England under-20s head coach has been able to start getting his messages across to the he has squad he inherited.
Foster said: "It has been a good few days. I have been busy Obviously my main priority is to make sure the players get a clear understanding of what I'm asking them to do.
"We have spent some really important hours on the training ground this week, trying to get a clear understanding of our tactics and principles ahead of the game on Saturday!" Foster continued: "I want to see that they take on the tactical information we have given them this week. It's always quite difficult on Monday, in terms of work on the grass, but we did a lot of video analysis work with me showing them the requirements of the shape and how we want them to play.
