RYAN Hardie is raring to go but will have to pass all the necessary return to play concussion protocols to be included in Plymouth Argyle’s squad against Southampton at St Mary’s Stadium this evening (KO 6pm).
The 26-year-old striker has missed the last two matches since a sickening clash of heads with Rotherham United defender Daniel Ayala during a 3-2 Championship win at Home Park on December 16. Hardie did travel with the Argyle squad to their Boxing Day fixture at Cardiff City and sprinted up and down the side of the pitch in training kit while his team-mates warmed up on the pitch.
Argyle director of football Neil Dewsnip said: “Mentally he seems really good. He must have tapped me on the shoulder about six times in the game asking to put him on!
