Hobbs' side started the game well enough, but capitulated once Michel Fernandes capitalised on a mix-up in the Parkway defence for the opening goal. They were 3-0 down at the interval, had Ryan Lane sent off straight from kick-off in the second half and conceded four more after the break, to leave Hobbs fuming.
"You can't excuse 7-0 and I can only apologise to the 20, 30, 40 supporters who came here," he said. "They braved the weather and I can only apologise for that (performance).
"It is what it is and we have to move now and reflect. We have to train on Tuesday and Thursday night and we have got to be better on Saturday, for sure." Even chairman Mark Russell took to his Facebook account to apologise to the fans that travelled.
