A controversial refereeing decision which saw Toby Down sent off following a second yellow card is what Hobbs felt cost Parkway as it came on the stroke of half-time and at the end of a half where there was nothing to separate the two teams.
But as Parkway tired, Gosport grew and ultimately won the three points with goals from Daniel Wooden (65) and Harvey Rew two minutes from the end of the game.
It was a far better performance that seven days earlier when Hobbs accused his side of ‘going into the red zone’ as they lost their composure and discipline and capitulated in losing 7-0 at Hungerford Town.
“It’s good to have a game come around so quickly because a week is a hell of a long time ion football,” Hobbs said. “It’ll be good to get back out there on Tuesday night.
“Saturday was disappointing really and I don’t want to bang on about officials, but he killed the game. It was never a second yellow card, it was very soft and we were well in the fixture at that point, there was nothing between the two sides.
