Arthur Johnson (5-18) and Josh Coker (4-28) ran through the first nine wickets in double-quick time. Sam Kidd took the tenth and last.
Opener Steve Edmonds (10) and Ryan May (25) were the only batters to get past six. Five of them did not make a run between them.
Ivybridge lost two wickets on 10 Adam Huxtable and Zach Dunn in successive balls to May (2-28) - during the 7.2 overs they needed to knock-off the runs. Harvey Johnson (20) and Cebo Tshiki (17) were the not-out batters at the end. Victory keeps Ivybridge second in the table, where they trail Paignton by 10 points.
CORNWOOD 2nd XI became the latest team to fall by the wayside against Paignton, who were pushed all the way before sealing a two-wicket win.
The Wood's 45-over total of 234 for eight owed plenty to the work done by Matt Puttock and Jacob Caunter to rescue them from a nervy 115 for seven.
Skipper Robin Dart (26) and Noah Carlisle (21) had already done their bit to repair some of the damage done by Sean Kirk (4-51) at the top of the order.
Puttock (72no) and Caunter (41) turned 115 for seven into 190 for eight.
Kirk had an open-and-shut case for the man-of-the-match award as his 51 not out got Paignton over the line with 10 balls to spare.
What made it all the more notable was that Kirk went out to bat when Paignton were 164 for eight and a long way from winning.
Sam Simcox (58) and Carl McFarlane (66) appeared to have done the ground work for a Paignton win, but a collapse from 142 for three to 157 for seven then 164 for eight put a new light on the game. Wickets were shared two each between Puttock, Luke Richardson and Harry Woolway
Kirk, who hit nine sixes, and Max Pedley (19no) put on 67 unbroken to win it.
