WHITTAKER NAMED PLAYER OF THE MONTH
CHRIS ERRINGTON
JANUARY'S STAR MAN!

MORGAN Whittaker has been praised for the way he has adapted to all the recent changes at Plymouth Argyle and still been able to produce performances which have led to him being named the Sky Bet Championship Player-of-the-Month for January.

Whittaker witnessed the appointment of Ian Foster as the Pilgrims' boss, and the arrival of six new players, in January, while eight others moved elsewhere. He was also the subject of intense speculation about his playing future during the winter transfer window, which culminated in Argyle rejecting an offer for him from Italian club Lazio.

Yet, amid all of that, Whittaker still came up with three goals and two assists last month as the Pilgrims picked up five points out of a possible nine, also while taking ion the captain's armband too.
