A YOUNG man who lost the ability to walk as a child has big dreams to travel the world and experience new cultures.
Jonathon Inkin longs to travel to New Orleans, to experience the colourful sights, sensational culture, and rhythmic music and hopes to help change the lives of others with disabilities longing to travel.
Jonathon has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, which makes travelling for him incredibly difficult. His condition causes muscle degeneration and weakness and as a result, he is in pain every day and needs 24/7 care.
The 25-year-old from Callington was unable to walk by the age of 11, marking the beginning of life in an electric wheelchair. Three years later, he underwent spinal surgery, followed by another operation to fit a gastrostomy peg for nutritional support.
