A PLYMOUTH man appeared before a city magistrate yesterday charged with the murder of a 53-year-old woman at the weekend.
Hazel Huggins was confirmed dead by the emergency services after units forced entry to a flat in Ilbert Street, north Stonehouse at about 4.15pm on Saturday.
Bradley Huggins, aged 24, was later charged with murder.
He appeared at Plymouth Magistrates Court yesterday morning where he spoke only to confirm his name, address and date of birth. He appeared wearing a grey sweater via virtual link from Charles Cross Police Station.
Huggins confirmed his date of birth as August 23, 1998 and his address as 4B Ilbert Street, Plymouth.
