PLYMOUTH’S Papa John’s pizza outlets have been taken over by a new franchisee after “under-performing” – and will remain open.
The head office at Papa John’s has said the takeaways in Mutley Plain, Woolwell and St Budeaux, as well as seven others in the South West, are now under a new boss.
It comes as the company which ran the outlets, Camberley-based Renz Restaurants Ltd, called a meeting of creditors and proposed winding up the company and having it liquidated.
Renz Restaurants ran the three Plymouth takeaways and those in Exeter’s Cowick Street, Barnstaple, Newton Abbot, Exmouth, Paignton, Torquay and Newquay.
