They both now plan to take on the physical challenges Royal Marines must pass to earn the coveted green beret.

The Royal Navy says Pendleton and Fields’ “expertise, experience and knowledge” are intended to help would-be green berets through training – and introduce the commandos to new audiences and communities. They were unveiled as “Honorary Colonels” during a visit to Commando Training Centre at Lympstone, watching on as recruits were put through their paces.
