MUSLIC CONFIRMS A HUGE SETBACK TO RELEGATION FIGHT

- CHRIS ERRINGTON

OUT FOR SEASON

PLYMOUTH Argyle defender Maksym Talovierov will miss the rest of the 2024/25 Championship campaign due to a knee injury, head coach Miron Muslic has confirmed.

It is yet another blow for the bottom-of-the-table Pilgrims, who have had to deal with a succession of injuries to key players throughout a very challenging and difficult season.

Talovierov picked up his injury towards the end of the 3-2 defeat by relegation rivals Derby County at Home Park on March 15 and briefly joined up with the Ukraine international squad in Spain, ahead of their two-legged UEFA Nations League A/B Play-Off against Belgium, to be assessed by their medical staff, as is the usual protocol in these situations.

Muslic said: "He will be out I think for seven to eight weeks, more or less out of the season. It's a huge setback for us."
