Plans to expand new student flat block approved

In 2017, Plymouth City Council gave permission for the former Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes (RAOB) club building to be altered and extended to create 66 studio apartments – but now they want even more bed spaces.

In 2022, the council then allowed changes to the internal layout, converting two-bed units into single-bed studios, and creating one three-bed unit, followed by further changes including removing some windows to improve privacy for neighbouring properties.

The existing student accommodation comprises 63 studio bedrooms and three cluster apartment bedrooms arranged over five floors.
