RESIDENTS have been warned by Devon and Cornwall Police about cold callers on doorsteps in the north of the city.
Police have urged residents to refuse services offered as they state that the "risks can be high" after reports of suspect workmen visiting homes in the Derriford, Widewell, Tamerton Foliot and Glenholt areas.
Instead police have reminded people that if work in their homes is needed, it is best to get quotes from at least three reputable sources before making a decision.
