The Pilgrims paid out a club record transfer fee of £1 million when they signed the gifted attacker on a four-year contract from Swansea City, following a successful loan over the first half of last term. Now, after 13 goals in 26 Championship games this season, Whittaker's value must be worth 10 times that, and it will only increase if he continues scoring at the rate he has been.
