DEBTS of more than £300,000 have gone unpaid after the collapse of a company which ran Plymouth’s Morley Arms pub.
Documents filed at Companies House show that even liquidators dealing with the failure of Morley Arms Ltd have ended up not being paid.
The company went bust in September 2022 with estimated debts of more than £600,000.
Liquidators at London’s B&C Associates Ltd have now wound up the company and confirmed there were no assets – so no cash to pay creditors.
With no likelihood of payment, HM Revenue and Customs didn’t even submit a claim for £106,340 it was owed. Unsecured creditors did, however.
The company’s statement of affairs said 11 unsecured creditors were owed £429,810. But in the end claims totalling £298,852 came in from 13 creditors.
