That was the case on Sunday, when the Green Machine made the long trip to face a familiar name from the Raiders' days in the British Basketball League, the Brighton Bears.
The Bears came into this game having lost in overtime the previous day to Bath, and any fatigue the Bears might have had was fully taken advantage of, with the Raiders ending the first quarter leading 23-18.
Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to end the half in the driving seat, with the home team limiting Plymouth to just 13 points in the second quarter.
The Raiders fought back from being down by nine at half-time, outscoring their hosts in the fourth quarter, but it wasn't quite enough and the game ended with a close 80-86 loss for the Green Machine.
