RESIDENTS have been left less than impressed after a water firm left a street-leak gushing water for nearly two weeks. Local man Emile told The Herald he had informed South West Water of the leak at the top of Kennel Hill, leading to Merafield Drive in Plympton, on June 20 but that he was not the first to raise the alarm.
He said: “It’s been running freely for about two weeks. At the same time, it’s worth pointing out due to all the ‘save water’ adverts on the radio and hosepipe bans – yet we have had nearly two weeks of free flowing water down the drain.
