STEVEN Schumacher has not closed the door on a return to Plymouth Argyle for Aston Villa midfielder Finn Azaz after his successful season-long loan in 2022/23.
Schumacher indicated another loan 'could be an option' rather than a permanent transfer, given the money that Argyle have already paid out for joint club-record signings Bali Mumba and Morgan Whittaker.
Azaz had three months out of action last season due to a broken ankle but still played an important part in the Pilgrims' League One title success.
When asked yesterday whether he retained an interest in Azaz, Schumacher replied: "There is always interest in good players."
