The gift that keeps on giving

A LITTLE boy who was left in a wheelchair after a tumour was removed from his spine has just received a very special gift... a toy monkey with its own mini walking frame and wheelchair, to match his own.

The gift that keeps on giving

Archie Lee, aged four, loves his new best friend a toy monkey called Scratch - which he says makes him smile because it is "just like him". Scratch even has a scar matching Archie's on his back, and one leg longer than the other.

And Scratch even joined Archie, from Torpoint, recently for his MRI scan at Derriford Hospital.

The amazing toy was made by Nick Hardman, of the award-winning '3D Toy Shop Teddy Hospital, a non-profit organisation reliant on donations, which makes toys for children with a disability... 'special toys for our little heroes.

Nick, based from his printer to produce thousands of accessible medical teddy bears to support the wellbeing of children undergoing medical treatment.
