During the lengthy trial, the jury was told the incident on May 12 involved two rival biker gangs – with victim David Crawford belonging to the Cornwall branch of the Red Chiefs Motorcycle Club (MC) and Benjamin Parry, Thomas Pawley and Chad Brading belonging to the Plymouth branch of the Bandidos MC.
The jury was told how the Bandidos had a grudge against the Red Chiefs MC, which is affiliated to the more notorious Hells Angels MC.
The jury was shown shocking dashcam and cab cam footage taken from the Ford Transit van which was driven by 42-year-old Parry, as he approached and then slammed into the rear of Mr Crawford’s 2,000cc black Kawasaki motorcycle on the A38 on-slip at the St Budeaux interchange.
All three defendants were charged with the murder of Mr Crawford by joint enterprise, which they denied.
Parry, 42, of Wright Close, Devonport, was cleared of murder on Monday, meaning the other two could not be convicted of the more serious crime.
Parry admitted manslaughter and yesterday Pawley, 32, of Heather Walk, Ivybridge, and Brading, 36, of Wright Close, Devonport, were also convicted of manslaughter. All three will be sentenced in the New Year.
