Woolwell housing plans subject to more delays

THERE has been a further delay in the development of plans for 2,000 new homes on the northern edge of Plymouth.

In January 2020, two separate – although intrinsically linked – plans were put to South Hams District Council for the major redevelopments. One was up to 360 dwellings, new access points from Towerfield Drive and Pick Pie Drive, and site infrastructure.

The other was for up to 1,640 new dwellings, up to 1,200 square metres of commercial, retail and community floorspace, a new primary school, areas of public open space including a community park, new sport and playing facilities, new access points, vehicular, cycle and pedestrian links, and the other associated site infrastructure.
